On 28th August 2024, while Liz and I were away celebrating our birthdays, our lives changed forever. Liz went into spontaneous early labour, and heartbreakingly, our beautiful son Marley Christopher Norris did not survive.

The pain of losing Marley is something we carry with us every day. But in the midst of our grief, we’ve been lucky to receive incredible care and support from St Mary’s Rainbow Clinic and Tommy’s Charity during our journey through pregnancy after loss.

This year, as we approach the one-year mark since losing Marley, I want to do something in his memory — and for the families who will sadly walk a similar path.

The Challenge

On Sunday 24th August 2025, 4 days prior to Marley’s 1st birthday, I’ll be taking on the Welsh 3000s Challenge — climbing all 15 peaks over 3,000 feet in Snowdonia in under 24 hours. It’s one of the UK’s most demanding mountain challenges, and I’ll be attempting to raise £6,600 — the estimated cost to these services and charities it takes to provide the kind of specialist care we have been receiving from Tommy’s & St Mary’s Preterm and Rainbow Clinic.

Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference so families can continue to receive such amazing mental & physical support. Tommy’s is dedicated to finding causes and treatments as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support.

All donations will be going directly to Tommy’s charity.
