This year, Ben and Paul are taking on something big.

Two people. Two different stories. One challenge.

They’re going after the Welsh Coastal Path record. 1,400 kilometres in 18 days, with over 25,000 metres of elevation. Around three times Mount Everest.

It’s simple. It’s going to hurt.

But this isn’t just about running.

Last September, Ben ran for 24 hours straight to raise awareness for mental health. It showed him what running can really do when things aren’t great.

Because the truth is, it hasn’t all been good. While travelling, he hit a low point again. He struggled and had to face that he wasn’t okay. Going to therapy was a big step, but it mattered.

For Paul, this goes further back.

His lowest point came in 2013. Life felt close to breaking and there were times he didn’t know if he wanted to keep facing it.

Running became the one thing he could hold onto.

What started as a way to cope became something bigger. It gave him structure, control, and a way to deal with everything going on in his head.

Over ten years later, he’s still running. This challenge means a lot to him. It’s about raising awareness and helping people before they get to that same point.

They’re taking this on together for the Jacob Abraham Foundation, supporting mental health and suicide prevention.

No pretending. Life isn’t always good. Social media makes it look that way, but it’s not real.

It’s okay to struggle.
