The Gaza Sunbirds are an inspiration to many around the world. Despite the Genocide in Gaza, the Sunbirds continue to provide healthy food parcels to our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip.
But the Sunbirds provide more than just food, they provide hope. Bringing smiles to children's faces with their movie screenings, creating improvised sports fields for organized activities, even making pizzas (because who doesn't love pizza!).
By showing your support for the Gaza Sunbirds you are also supporting disability justice. Israel's occupation in Palestine has been described as a "mass disabling event." Despite the hardships, the Sunbirds are "building up a community of Gazan para-athletes." Alaa Al Dali, the founder of the Sunbirds, is leading the charge to represent Palestine on the world stage at the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.
