Story
What started as a conversation with a few fellow charity leaders about the power of collaboration has turned into a very real mountain-climbing challenge!
From 16-18 October, I'll be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge alongside a group of Hertfordshire charity leaders. Together, we'll be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in support of the communities we serve.
We're doing this for two important reasons. Firstly, to highlight how much more we can achieve when organisations work together. Across Hertfordshire, charities are supporting people facing homelessness, isolation, poverty and a range of complex challenges. By collaborating, sharing expertise and supporting one another, we can make an even greater difference.
Secondly, and very importantly, we're raising vital funds for DENS. Every day, DENS supports vulnerable people in our community who are facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion, helping them rebuild their lives and move towards a more positive future.
Training has already begun, and I know this challenge is going to be tough. There will no doubt be moments when the mountains feel very steep, but just like the people we support, we'll keep going one step at a time and rely on each other to reach the finish line.
What will keep me motivated is knowing that every step we take will help DENS continue to make a difference to so many people in our community.
If you're able to support me with a donation, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful
Thank you for your support, encouragement and good wishes as our team takes on this challenge. Together, we really can move mountains.
