This year I'm running the half marathon with colleagues from The Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy and Practice. We work together to support family Carers, students and staff in Dumfries and Galloway to provide care and support to those living with a diagnosis of dementia.

In D&G last year another 460 people were diagnosed with dementia. Dementia affects so many of our lives and this year I'd ask that you donate £1. I'm hoping to raise £460, a pound for every person in the area who received a diagnosis last year. Unfortunately Just Giving requires a minimum of £2 donation - so £1 for someone last year and £1 for someone this year. Thank you; every person counts, every life and family counts.
