Story
Some 9 years ago I sadly lost my husband to Sepsis. Guy was fit and I thought healthy and led a veryactive lifestyle. He had cycled 100 miles the week before his death. When he came home from workone Friday, I was not expecting to lose him 4 four days later.
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition thatarises when the body’s response to an infection injures its own tissues and organs, with the immunesystem going into overdrive. In the UK five people every hour lose their life from Sepsis, that is 48,000people every year. The UK Sepsis Trust is committed to raising the awareness of Sepsis and to significantly reducing the number of people impacted.
Although very active, I have never run amarathon, this will be a huge challenge for me and I would really welcome you support.”
