Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit Wendy's JustGiving page.
Most people celebrate milestones with a nice cake or a quiet dinner. Wendy has decided to celebrate by standing on top of a moving airplane.
As many of you know, Wendy isn’t exactly a fan of heights. In fact, she’s usually the one clinging to the handrail on a slightly steep escalator. But to support the incredible work at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare, she’s facing her ultimate fear and taking on a Wing Walk!
Why on Earth is she doing this?
Raystede is a sanctuary that gives a second chance to animals who have nowhere else to go. From abandoned pups to rescued horses and everything in between, they provide medical care, rehabilitation, and—most importantly—love.
Every penny raised goes directly toward:
* Rescue and Rehoming: Finding forever families for pets in need.
* Specialist Care: Providing sanctuary for animals with complex behavioral or medical needs.
* Education: Helping the community learn how to better care for our furry (and feathered) friends.
The Challenge
Wendy will be strapped to the wing of a Boeing Stearman biplane, soaring through the air at speeds of up to 135 mph. It’s loud, it’s windy, and it’s very, very high up.
> "I’m terrified, but the animals at Raystede don't get to choose their challenges. If they can be brave in the face of uncertainty, then I can spend ten minutes on a wing to help them." — Wendy

How You Can Help
Raystede is a charity that aims to give animals a better life through rehoming, rehabilitation and sanctuary, and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect. They care for up to 400 animals every day, including cats, horses, dogs, rabbits, hens and exotic birds.
Raystede relies on sponsorship and voluntary donations to look after the animals in its care.
Please consider sponsoring Wendy’s "flight of fright." No donation is too small—every pound helps keep a bowl full and a tail wagging.
Thank you for supporting Wendy, and more importantly, for supporting the animals at Raystede!
Thank you!
