I’m taking on a skydive to raise money for Thin Blue Paw, a charity that supports retired police dogs like my own incredible boy, Drax. After years of loyal service protecting others, these dogs deserve the very best care in their retirement, and Thin Blue Paw helps provide vital support for their health and wellbeing. Drax means the world to me, and seeing firsthand how much these dogs give during their working lives has inspired me to do something a little bit brave (and very scary!) to give back. I’m absolutely terrified of heights, so jumping out of a plane is far outside my comfort zone - but if it helps raise awareness and funds for such an amazing cause and for dogs like Drax, then it will be worth every nerve-wracking second!

The Thin Blue Paw Foundation was launched in 2020 to support serving and retired police dogs across the United Kingdom. After a lifetime of service, police dogs are not afforded a pension in retirement, meaning that the responsibility for their care and the cost of their vet bills falls solely on their ex-handler or new owner. Since our launch, we have helped over 150 retired police dogs, covering £330,000 worth of veterinary and rehabilitation care.
