Story
Starting on August 25th we're walking 800km along the Camino del Norte to support The Good Company People, a community we’ve been volunteering with since the start, five years ago. Over the six weeks, we’ll be putting one foot in front of the other for a cause that means a lot to us. Every step counts, and we’d love your support along the way.
The Camino del Norte is the toughest of all the Camino routes. The path stretches along Spain’s northern coast, passing cliffs, beaches, and the hilly Basque Country. Starting in San Sebastián, we’ll walk 800km (495 miles) to Santiago de Compostela - plus a few extra miles as we forage for our evening meals!
Through weekly clubs, our members can enjoy activities like card games, walking rugby, snooker, table tennis, singing, or just spending time together. The Good Company People volunteers make sure that older adults, people living with dementia, and their carers don’t have to face ageing alone.
If you’re able to donate, it’ll help keep the clubs running, strengthen one-to-one support, and ensure that no one feels disconnected. Thank you for cheering us on - we’ll be sharing updates and photos along the way!
