Wendy's fundraiser for ME Association

Please help us to support people with ME and their families.
ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy), or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, blights the lives of 250,000 people in UK today. The smallest exertion can floor them; their joints and muscles ache unbearably; restful sleep eludes them; and ‘brain fog’ clouds their thinking. It changes lives drastically – disrupting study; making work impossible; and straining family relations to breaking point. Many sufferers cannot leave their homes. There is no known cure.
Some of you may know Karen, we’ve grown up together, we’ve know each other for nearly 30 years. She was always the sporty one, fantastic at athletics, especially the hurdles. Always on the go, a brilliant teacher and loved her job, but now her world has changed. Some days she can’t do anything, emptying the dishwasher might take her all day as she has to do it in stages. She relies on using her wheelchair to get around (when she actually has the energy) which is a challenge in its self.
I want to raise money for ME as it’s a cruel condition, it throws people’s worlds upside down both mentally and physically. More research needs to be done to find a cure.
