On the 1st October 2023 I will be running the Leicester Half Marathon, raising funds for Open Hands.

Open Hands is a charity set up by my church - One Church. Its primary purpose is to show compassion, support and care to those in need, to invest hope in and through people, and to empower individuals to work towards a better future.

The charity does this in a really practical way through many different projects, from providing clothing and furniture, operating an emergency food bank, offering free English classes and providing advice and support through their employabilty course. You can read more about their work here.

A group of us from One Church are getting together to complete 'Run Leicester' with the aim of raising as much as we can for this brilliant charity to support them in their work.
