Story
Over the past few of years staff across the business have joined our Muslim colleagues to hold a Wesleyan Day of Fasting during Ramadan. This has allowed staff to understand different religions, the challenges and sacrifice Muslims make during this holy month and to be truly Flexible and Inclusive. Ramadan is about sacrificing food and water between sunrise and sunset, as well as other physical needs and having an increased focus on prayer.
As a result, we are raising money for 'The Trussell Trust' who support food banks across the country including Birmingham and Oswestry where our offices are located. Donations via this page as an alternative to physical donations in the office will allow the Trust to support families across the UK suffering hardship.
We look forward to celebrating the end of Wesleyan Day of Fasting by breaking the fast at our first Iftar in the Office for all colleagues.
Thank you for supporting this much needed cause
About Trussell Trust:
"We exist so everyone can be free from hunger.
Last year, our community of food banks distributed 3.1 million emergency food parcels – the most ever in a single year.
We need urgent action on hunger in the UK. People are being pushed to the brink because they don’t have enough money to live on. This can’t go on.
We refuse to stand by while so many of us can’t afford to eat, keep warm and pay the bills.
We’re ending hunger together. Will you stand with us?"
