Wesleyan's Mental Health Awareness Week Step Challenge for Martineau Gardens

Wesleyan Group is raising money for Martineau Gardens

Wesleyan Step's Challenge Fundraiser for Martineau Gardens · 1 May 2025

Martineau Gardens is a beautiful therapeutic community garden and a charity, located two miles from Birmingham city centre. Martineau Gardens supports volunteers on the therapeutic horticulture programme to look after the 2.5 acre free-to-enter community garden, many of whom have mental health issues and learning disabilities. A team of volunteers welcome over 10,000 visitors each year who come to enjoy its peace and tranquillity and a further team helps out with special events and courses. Hundreds of school children visit the outdoor ‘classrooms’ to learn about the environment. The Gardens have been described by visitors as ‘an oasis of calm in the bustling city’ and as ‘Birmingham’s hidden gem’.

Step Up for Mental Health – Support Martineau Gardens!

This Mental Health Awareness Week, Wesleyan Group colleagues are lacing up their trainers and taking on a steps challenge to boost their wellbeing while raising vital funds for Martineau Gardens – a local charity dedicated to supporting mental health recovery through nature.

For every team that completes the challenge, Wesleyan will donate £100 to Martineau Gardens. But we need your help too! Friends, family, and colleagues can encourage our teams by making a donation and helping us raise even more for this fantastic cause.

Why Martineau Gardens?
