Swim for Hope 2024 · 30 June 2024 ·

Wessex Cancer Support provides free and local emotional support to anyone affected by cancer in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. Clients may have cancer themselves, be adjusting to life after cancer, supporting someone with cancer or be bereaved. We rely on donations to provide this support.

Story

A few members from Wessex Clinic have agreed to take on the challenge of Swimming the Solent this coming June in aid of the Charity Wessex Cancer Support.

This charity provides local support to anyone affected by cancer, away from hospital; ranging from counselling to appointment transportation.

The Wessex Clinic swim team consists of:

Gavin Gobell (Osteopath)

Hannah Stevenson (Osteopath)

Suzy Judd (Sports therapist)

Kate Mills (Audiologist)

Sue Stevenson (Receptionist)

The swim is approximately 1.3 miles ... starting at Hurst Point in Hampshire and finishing at Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight!

We have began our training... some have even braved it into the cold winter sea already!

Any donation, support, or even just some encouragement would be gratefully appreciated 😁
