The CAAN are planning a Fitness Fundraising Event to raise money for our chosen charities, Springfield Domestic Abuse in South Lakeland & Great North Air Ambulance Service. We will be split into two teams, one for Westmorland and Furness Council and one for Cumberland Council. Both teams will compete against each other to collect points through exercising and tracking there tags through Street Tag.

Street Tag is a mobile app that combines elements of location-based gaming, fitness tracking, and competition. Players can earn points by visiting virtual tags in various community locations, including green spaces.

The app automatically collects points when a player is within 40 meters of a virtual tag, and players can also earn points by syncing their steps with the app. These points are tracked on a real-time leader board, allowing players to see how they compare to others in their team.

All funds will be given to the chairman's charity which is Springfield Domestic Abuse Support. Based in South Cumbria, Springfield Domestic Abuse Support has a highly skilled and dedicated team who provide a range of services and tailored support to clients who are affected by all types domestic abuse. This is through either the community hub or our refuge accommodation, specifically for women who are potentially homeless because they are a high risk victim of domestic abuse.
