AMAZING! Final figure just in: £5,552.00 raised by the West Linton team, via the generosity of all the people who donated, bought raffle tickets, performed on stage, made incredible cakes etc, gave raffle prizes and ran half marathons really badly. Thank you all.

But, let's hear it for the organisers as well, amongst whom, not mentioned before, Carol Matthewson and Doreen Graham plus Charlie Milne, Bill Clapperton, Kenny Campbell, Elaine Robinson, Heleen Kennedy, Torcull Kennedy and George Archibald. I can only imagine the work involved in all the bookings of musicians, venues, advertising, catering, media relations, printing, the collection of raffle prizes etc.

WHAT a great day it was. Magnificent music and an atmosphere that was second to none. Brilliant performances from all. The weather was kind and I have to say our Edinburgh half marathon for West Linton's "Music for Doddie", the next day, was not so good. Enough said!

George has sent me final "figures" of the whole wonderful event: £5552.00. What a great effort.
