Priory Rotary Swimarathon 2024 · 10 February 2024 ·

The Rotary Club of King’s Lynn Priory is a group of community minded people who meet regularly to plan and implement projects and events that will benefit many good causes. As well as raising money for local charities, we also support major Rotary International projects such as the eradication of polio worldwide and ShelterBox disaster relief.

Story

West Norfolk Swimming Club is participating in Priory Rotary Club King's Lynn Swimarathon 2024 to raise funds for Scarlett who suffers from Cerebral Palsy. Scarlett require SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) surgery, which will reduce stiffness in her limbs, help her gain some independence and allow simple tasks to be less difficult. However, the operation is not available on the NHS therefore we are raising money to fund her operation and aftercare. This will include new equipment such as static bike, standing frame, swimming sessions, physiotherapy sessions and anything else that will aid her recovery and allow her to gain the most from her operation.
