⭐️⭐️ Exciting news! ⭐️⭐️ Westbury Welcome is planning to sponsor a third refugee family and help support them to resettle in Bristol. We need your help to raise £2,000 so that we can trigger the government’s Community Sponsorship programme.

Our group is responsible for raising funds, finding and furnishing affordable (private) accommodation, and helping the family to settle in when they arrive. We will develop a package of wrap-around support for the family, that would kick in from the moment the family land at the airport and will continue for at least two years. This support includes assistance with language learning, finding schools and navigating the health system, along with getting used to our city and life in the UK.

Our group has lots of experience as we have already sponsored two Syrian families through Community Sponsorship. We are also supporting a family from Afghanistan and a family from Ukraine.

Sponsoring refugee families transforms lives. Not just the lives of the members of the family as we help them towards a safer, more secure future; but also the lives of people in the community, as we work together.
