Story
In August 2026, a team of Westfield Health colleagues will cycle 240km from Aalsmeer (near Amsterdam) to Sheffield.
Not for a medal. Not for a personal best.
But for people whose lives have been saved, and rebuilt, through organ donation.
We’re riding to support Transplant Active, a charity that helps transplant recipients rebuild their physical and mental wellbeing through sport and activity.
For many transplant recipients, survival is only the beginning. Recovery can be long, uncertain, and isolating. Regaining strength, confidence, and a sense of normal life doesn’t just happen - it takes support.
That’s where Transplant Active steps in.
They provide opportunities for transplant recipients to take part in events like the British Transplant Games, helping people go from patients… to competitors… to thriving individuals again.
This year, the Games are being held in Sheffield, our home city, and Westfield Health is proud to be the main sponsor.
So we’re doing more than showing up.
We’re riding across countries to arrive in Sheffield as the Games begin on 6th August 2026 - to stand alongside the very people this charity supports.
This won’t be easy. It’s meant to reflect, in a small way, the resilience and determination shown by transplant recipients every single day.
Why Your Support Matters
Your donation will help Transplant Active:
- support transplant recipients in rebuilding their strength and confidence
- fund participation in life-changing events like the Transplant Games
- create a community where people realise what’s still possible after transplant
We’re aiming to raise £5,000.
If you’re a colleague, partner, client or simply someone who believes in this cause - please donate whatever you can.
Every contribution matters.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this page helps more than you think.
Organ donation saves lives.
Transplant Active helps people live them.
We’re just doing the ride.
