Story

Fundraiser for local charity Keep Me Breathing, set up by parents of children with CCHS - a rare breathing condition. It is addressing the urgent need for new treatments to improve and save the lives of those with CCHS. The charity is working with leading medical and technology experts to develop The Breathing Pacemaker, the first specific treatment for CCHS.

CCHS is an extremely rare genetic condition which causes patients to lose the automatic control of the most basic living function. Breathing. This means people with CCHS need artificial life-support in the form of a ventilator to keep them alive. This new technology in development aims to change all this and give patients today and children born with CCHS in the future a better life, with unimaginable freedom and independence.
