19th January 2027, I’ll be stepping into the ring at Midnight Mayhem during ICE Barcelona to raise money for Andy's Man Club.

I’ve wanted to test myself with something like this for a long time, but this is about much more than boxing.

Over the years I’ve lost male friends who were fighting their own battles. That has really hit home for me.

Men often find it hard to talk, ask for help or admit when things are getting too much. I know that from people I’ve lost, and I know it from my own life as well.

That’s why I’ve chosen to raise money for Andy's Man Club, a charity that helps men open up, talk and get support before it is too late.

For me, this journey is about pushing myself, getting fitter, improving my own mental health and trying to make something positive out of something that has affected me deeply.

Training starts now, with the fight taking place on 19 January 2027. I’ll be documenting the journey properly, the training, the fundraising, the nerves, the good days and the bad (loads I imagine) ones.

Even if this helps one man speak up or ask for help, it will be worth it.
