We raise funds for breast cancer patients to help all faced with breast recon surgery

Story

On Saturday 27th April, we will be walking the Wherryman's Way path, from Great Yarmouth train station to Norwich train station, in memory of our beautiful friend, Danni Day, who lost her life in April 2023 to secondary breast cancer.

Start: Great Yarmouth Train Station, Saturday 27 April, 7.45am

Finish: Norwich Train Station

Danni was a big supporter of the Keeping Abreast charity and a real advocate for breast cancer awareness in general. She also loved a challenge.

Please join us for the whole or part of the walk, and help raise money for a fantastic charity that supports so many women who are facing reconstructive surgery.

There will be pub stops along the way, with a chance to re-fuel and fill up your water bottles.

There are also a few train stations along the way, for those only wanting to walk for part of the trail. You can find out more about the Wherryman's Way here: https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/out-and-about-in-norfolk/norfolk-trails/short-and-circular-walks/wherrymans-way/wherrymans-way-information

We are asking for a £20 donation to the page for those taking part. You will receive a t-shirt at the start of the walk. Tshirts have kindly been donated by Fastickman in Diss. Please email jessransome@btinternet.com with your size (xs, s, m, l, xl or xxl).

Everyone that has taken part in the last two walks knows how hard this is so we need all the support and sponsors we can get to keep us motivated.

Please donate as much or as little as you can. You never know who might need this in the future.

We aim to support both newly diagnosed with breast cancer facing the possibility of mastectomy, and also those further down the line who are considering reconstructive surgery, to be able to meet and talk to other women who have been through similar experiences helping make an informed choice.
