Paul Dockerill was a much loved and hugely respected colleague at whg. Each year he organised a Christmas walk to raise thousands of pounds for a worthy cause. The event brought together colleagues who walked the 11 miles from Walsall into Birmingham and was one of the highlights on the calendar.

Paul passed away November 2022. In honor of him, and in recognition of all the amazing work he did to support local charities, we continue to complete the walk in his name. Paul, who was Director of Energy and Programme Management, was a tireless champion of building safety and had gained a national reputation for his work to ensure social housing tenants were safe in their homes. He played a key role influencing future government policy and leaves a lasting legacy that will shape our work, and the work of the housing sector, for years to come.
