Story

Whitby Health Partnership’s Story

Whitby Health Partnership have never been a team known for sprinting — unless you counted the dash to a ringing phone or the race to fit in one more patient before lunch. But in 2026, something shifted. We became a parkrun active practice and completed our very own step up challenge. As the festive season approached, the team decided to lace up their trainers, step forward again and what better way to do this than in a Santa suit for good measure. We aren't running for medals or personal bests. We are running for something far more important.

Most of the team have supported patients in some way who had already passed through the hospice’s doors or preparing for a stay in the near future.

So the Santa Dash became more than a festive fundraiser, its to support this worthwhile cause, help them continue to support all patients/clients and to continue the extraordinary work they do!

As the Whitby Health Partnership team set off along the route — red suits bobbing, laughter echoing — they will carry with them the stories of their patients, the gratitude of families, and the belief that every step matters

We want to encourage our patients to take part alongside us, some will run, some will walk but it's the participation and support that matters! So, come join us Sunday 6th Decemebr at 10am from Chester International School on Queens park road

Together, we can make a difference. ❤️
