Joanna's fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Joanna Brown is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK
In memory of Steve Brown and Cheryl Spratt

Festival of Walkern · 1 August 2026

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Pancreatic cancer affects far too many people, often with little warning and limited treatment options. Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund research, improve patient support, and move us closer to earlier detection and better outcomes.

This fundraiser is also dedicated to the memory of two deeply loved people, Steve Brown, my brother and Cheryl Spratt, Cassie’s mum, whose lives were touched by pancreatic cancer.

Their kindness, strength, and the memories they created continue to inspire everyone who knew them. While they are greatly missed, we hope to honour their legacy by supporting vital research, raising awareness, and helping bring hope to families facing this devastating disease.

If you’re able to contribute, thank you. If not, sharing this page and keeping Steve and Cheryl in your thoughts means just as much.

Together, we can honour their memory by helping create a future where fewer families have to experience this devastating loss of loved ones.
