Story

We are raising money for our new school library as the next phase in our RA Be-inspired campaign.

Our new school library will be a space for everyone to enjoy. It will be housed in the newly built Year 6 building, opening in the summer, and designed as a bright, open-plan area with a beautiful interior and shelves full of wonderful books. This library will be a calm, welcoming place where children can discover new stories, develop a love of reading, and grow in confidence as learners. From our youngest children listening to their first stories, to our older pupils exploring new authors and ideas, the library will be a shared space that supports learning, imagination, and a lifelong love of books — now and for many years to come.

This year, we are inviting our children to make a real difference through reading with our new fundraiser:

"Who Can You Read To?"

The challenge is simple and inspiring.

We are asking each child to read to as many different people as they can — and to see how far their reading can travel beyond the classroom.

We are encouraging them to take a book for a walk and to see who they can read to, perhaps:

A grandparent or elderly neighbour

Someone who is unwell

A parent, carer, or family friend

A teacher, helper, or member of our community

There will be prizes for the children who read to most people, alongside a photo or drawing competition of that favorite person they read to - with winning artwork displayed proudly in our new library.

As 2026 is the official year of reading - if every child raises £20.26 then we will hit our target!

So Please Sponsor a child or donate directly - together, let's build a library.
