Wicklow Methodist church is planning a massive restoration project to restore the Rose Window within our church – this is the window which faces the Domican college.

The church was designed by the architect William Fogerty in 1866 in the Gothic Revival style. Architectural records specifically reference the church’s Bath stone rose window, indicating that the window was considered an important original architectural feature. The current window has served well for 160 years and is an important landmark in our beautiful town. Unfortunately 160 years have caused natural erosion of the stonework and the glass is at risk of breaking and to restore it will cost over €60 thousand. A specialist historical architect and glass restoration specialist have been employed to ensure all work is done to meet the historical importance of the building.
