Wigan Borough Memory Walk 2023 · 24 September 2023

Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
Who will you walk for? This year thousands of people will walk for everyone affected by dementia. By taking part in Memory Walk, you will be helping to support everyone living with dementia now and in the future.

Story

This year we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of our annual Memory Walks in support of the Alzheimer's Society.

We have not one, but TWO extra special events planned for the following dates:

Sunday 24 September, 11am - Haigh Woodland Park, Wigan

Friday 29 September, 11am - Pennington Hall Park, Leigh

This year’s walks will be bigger and better than ever and with your help we can raise invaluable funds and awareness for an important cause.

Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 900,000 people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support. By taking part and raising money, or donating to someone who is, you are helping to do this.

Once you donate, JustGiving sends your money directly to Alzheimer's Society you don't need to do anything and it's the most efficient way to fundraise. So, who will you walk for? #MemoryWalk
