24 hour cycle challenge · 2 May 2024

LOROS Hospice is a local charity delivering free care and support to over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year. Our free high-quality, compassionate services are tailored to be special and unique to each terminally ill patient, their family and carers.

Story

Karin Gladman was a lovely teacher at wigston Academy. Unfortunately she passed during the Easter holidays, we want to raise money in her memory, she was always full of happiness and always had a big smile on her face. She was definitely an asset to the school and will be missed greatly.

As a college we are working to complete our 24 hour cycle challenge to raise money for LOROS as they looked after our dear teacher Miss Gladman. This challenge means we are going to cycle 1,275 kilometres (from Wigston college to Berlin).

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
