Story
My name is Wil Reidie, I am a writer and cook from England living in Finland. This August I am running the Turku City Marathon in Finland to raise money for charity.
The world is a dumpster fire. We all know this. And the people suffering it the most are frequently those most vulnerable. In war zones across the world, that includes children.
This is why I'm raising money for UNICEF.
In conflict and disaster, children suffer first and suffer most. During emergencies and humanitarian contexts, children are especially vulnerable to disease, malnutrition and violence.
The chaos and insecurity of war threatens or destroys access to food, shelter, social support and health care, and results in increased vulnerability for children. UNICEF focuses on these children and their families to provide them with the essential interventions required for protection, to save lives and to ensure the rights of all children, everywhere.
Please give what you can.
