Team: Team Wildwood fundraising for the Chough Challenge!

Chough Challenge

Wildwood Trust is dedicated to protecting, conserving and rewilding British wildlife, using natural solutions to reverse the biodiversity and climate crises we face today. Together, we will prevent the extinction of our most endangered species and create a wilder future.

Story

Our wildlife is in crisis. Species in the UK are declining at their fastest rate for thousands of years; 56% of them are in decline and 165 are critically endangered. But it's not too late.

This August, we're taking on Wildwood's Chough Challenge to raise vital funds for their conservation work.

The goal: To cycle 300 miles on a stationary bike as a team over the course of a week. This is about the distance between Cornwall and Canterbury - two sites with lots of amazing chough folklore, and also one of the journeys our chough make from Paradise Park to Wildwood Kent!

Where? : We'll set up the bike by the entrance, in front of the shop, under the gazebo.

When? : Over the course of a week, between the 25th-29th August.

Wildwood is a native species conservation charity pushing the boundaries of innovative conservation and rewilding. They work with nature to fight the biodiversity crisis, to halt the extinction of species and to create resilient habitats in which nature thrives. They focus on nature-based solutions to return native species and recreate truly wild spaces.

People have the ability to change the world. Our actions can safeguard nature and give our wildlife a chance for a future.

In a time of eco anxiety Wildwood extends a message of hope and inspiration. Through rewilding and restoring lost species and by showing others how they can help, we can begin to heal the harm to our natural world.
