Story
I recently lost my father to Alzheimer’s, and the end was incredibly tough. No family should have to go through such a gruelling experience. In his memory, I’ve organised a sponsored swim at Wildwood UK to help raise funds for dementia research.
26th April - from 1pm to 3pm
To keep things simple:
– Donate to this page to take part as a swimmer.
– Share the link with friends and family if you’d like them to sponsor you personally.
You can take part for a minimum donation of £7.50.
When signing up, please clearly state: SPONSORED SWIMMER (so we can gauge number of people in the water)
You can also ask family and colleagues to sponsor you here too — helping us raise as much money as possible for this vital cause.
My aim is to make it a fun-filled day, with delicious treats, a fantastic atmosphere, and a touch of eccentricity — just like my dad.
Every three minutes, dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only hope of changing the ending for those affected. We’re supporting the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to finding a cure. Your donation will help scientists develop better ways to diagnose dementia, discover new treatments, and ultimately find a cure.
Please donate if you can, and share our new film to help spread the word:
