Maggie’s Centres are warm and welcoming places built alongside NHS hospitals that provide the support that people with cancer and their family and friends need. www.maggiescentres.org

Story

As you may or not be aware in March 2023 Sara was diagnosed with breast cancer. This entailed a full breast removal + reconstruction, a full course of chemotherapy, multiple ongoing drugs + treatments and to top it off a hysterectomy. The effect are still ongoing however most importantly we still have Sara. During all of her treatments and procedures she has fought all the way and continued to be an inspiration to all around her.

During this time we were lucky to have amazing support from family and friends but also Maggies centre. Maggies provided invaluable support and guidance through these turbulent times and without that support we wouldn’t have got through this in the way we did.

Anyway why am I rambling…. On march 26th I will enter my 40th year and wanted to make a small gesture for the support we received from Maggies and hopefully pass it on for others. As a result I have decided to do a charity head shave (caveat it will be a grade 0.5).

Why a head shave? Well during the chemotherapy Sara started to lose her hair and took the brave decision to shave it off. In hindsight I wish I had done mine then in solidarity but this way I manage to raise so money for a good cause.

For those of you that know me with my ever growing waist line my hair is the one thing I am grateful for so this will be big for me (hopefully it slows down the greying process)

Please dig deep I know this money will go to helping others.
