Hi everyone,

Next year, I’m taking on an unforgettable challenge!

I will be spending 5 days walking a section of the Great Wall of China to raise funds for Katherine House Hospice, a charity that provides incredible care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

I have had friends use the hospice services throughout my life, and this trek is my way of giving back to the people who give so much, every single day. The work they do is life-changing, and they rely on the generosity of supporters to continue providing compassionate, dignified care when it's needed most.

This won’t be an easy walk - steep climbs, slippery slopes, uneven steps, and lots of miles ahead but I’m determined to take every step in honour of those facing much tougher journeys.

Below is a little about how much it costs to run the hospice for just one day!

Katharine House relies heavily on the local community to help fund the hospice. It costs £14,539 per day to run Katharine House Hospice. Your donation will not only help to fund the clinical costs at the hospice, but also all the extra services that make it such a special place - from bereavement support to art therapies, from relaxation classes to the hospice food and so much more.
