In 2020, I slid into Cam's DM's with "You are my hero." This wasn’t just flirting. Earlier that year, Cam was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer. He faced multiple surgeries, intense radiotherapy, and challenges that would make most of us crumble. True to form, Cam tackled it all with resilience, humor, and a quiet determination that continues to inspire people around him.

Fast forward, 2025 Cam has been coaching me for this event (to be clear: if we’re terrible, you know whose to blame.) Together, we’re competing in a Doubles Hyrox to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that was there for Cam throughout his journey.
