Story
I'm helping to rebuild schools in Mexico!
This November, I will be travelling to a community in Puebla, Mexico, to assist All Hands & Hearts with their school recovery programme.
I'm excited to help the children of Puebla have safe facilities in which to receive their education. Here in the UK, we never need to worry about natural disasters affecting our lives, or our children's education. These events have real impacts on communities such as those in Puebla. It will be a privilege for me to support them.
How am I raising money for charity?
I'm raising funds to help All Hands & Hearts do their invaluable work by:
- running the Yorkshire marathon on October 18. This will be my first marathon *gulp*!
-- UPDATE: Due to injury I switched my event to the Yorkshire 10 mile event and completed this on October 18.
- embracing community spirit by cooking Mexican cuisine for my friends and family. I look forward to sharing fun evenings with those closest to me!
Thank you all for supporting All Hands & Hearts to do what they do.
Charity Info:
All Hands & Hearts (UK) Trust is a disaster relief charity supporting communities worldwide before, during, and after disasters. We support high-impact components of response and recovery programmes, helping rebuild homes, schools, and infrastructure as well as providing training such as female mason initiatives, WASH education, and skills programmes that strengthen local resilience. By working hand in hand with local partners and volunteers, we ensure recovery efforts are community-led, inclusive, and built to last for many years.
