Story
This September, I’m proud to be running the Great North Run for Durham Cricket Foundation and MS Society, and the funds raised will be split evenly between both.
Every year, the Foundation supports more than 30,000 people across the North East through cricket, creating opportunities for young people, improving wellbeing and making a positive difference in communities.
Their work in engaging young people and families to discover the game and spread the power of our sport across communities and the Great North Children’s Hospital is such an important part of the club and without it, the club’s success in its pathway and professional teams would not be possible and it’s important to me to support them as they continue to grow our sport.
I am also running in support of MS Society - a cause equally close to the club’s heart and mine after a friend and colleague has been effected by it, MS is a lifelong neurological condition and this is our small way of showing our support to him and the MS community.
