Will's Fundraiser for Gingerbread

I will be cycling 110 miles, from Manchester to Mount Snowdon, on a fixed gear bike, then hiking up the mountain with my bike on my back immediately after.
I was raised by my single mum since I was born to this day. Which has always allowed me to understand the struggles that a single parent would face financially and mentally. I have also chosen this charity in particular as they have directly helped my mum and I, and I have recently seen that they were unable to keep there helplines open due to a lack of funding, showing that the money raised will be beneficial to them.
I have done many long distance cycles since getting into cycling from a young age, so I wanted to do something different that would stand out and prove that no matter what a person’s family situation is, if someone puts their mind to something, they’ll be able to achieve it. Also by challenging myself with such a cause in mind, it will allow me to push myself as far as I possibly can, growing myself as a person.
Therefore, I have decided to cycle 110 miles from Manchester to Snowdon on a fixed gear bike. For a bit of context, this bike only has one gear, and I have built it up myself as I have been a bike mechanic growing up. I am then going to hike up Mount Snowdon with my bike on my back, within the same day.
I would love to raise as much money for this charity, as possible as me and my mum have personally benefitted from their amazing acts, which needs to be more noticed and recognised as it helps many people that are struggling .
