On the 15-20th April, I will run the Marathon des Sables with my cousin Chris and Uncle Dave. Dubbed the 'hardest footrace on earth', I aim to cover 250 kilometres across the Sahara Desert over six gruelling days. This will be an extraordinary mental and physical challenge which I hope to complete.

I am running to support the important "Running Well" charity, an organisation dedicated to providing access to clean water and sanitation facilities in communities where these basic necessities are out of reach. Their recent work to build 22 boreholes in Uganda will offer clean water to 44,000 people. To put this into perspective, £3.75 is enough to provide one person with clean drinking water (equivalent to just one flat white in London).
