I'm so delighted that my Father-in-law has overcome Prostate cancer. Nevertheless, I'm aware this remains an incredibly common and yet under-diagnosed and under-treated cancer. Therefore, I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027 in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

I thought my half-marathon days were long behind me having last run the Bristol half-marathon in 2009! But when my daughter Rosie, who completed the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2025, asked me to join her if she did it again, it seemed like one of those a special Dad/daughter opportunities I had to grasp.

So to celebrate the continued good health of my father-in-law; to share a very special moment with my daughter; and to raise awareness and money for an incredibly important cause, I'm coming out of running retirement for one last hurrah!
