Beazley South Downs Challenge · 13 June 2024

London’s insurance market has supported veterans and their families through the Lloyd’s Veterans Charity for more than 200 years. We work with the Lloyd’s and City Branch of the Royal British Legion and the Lloyd’s Military Network to put the market’s corporate and individual giving to work efficiently by making grants to established charities. We focus particularly on mental health and employment organisations, but support others too. Formerly the Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund, the LVC aims especially to fund organisations which have been unable to raise sufficient support elsewhere to meet their potential for veterans and their families, despite their good work.

Story

A team from Beazley’s Smart Tracker Syndicate 5623 , joined by our partners Howden Re and Argenta Syndicate 2121 will be cycling the South Downs Way over 2 days this June. This will be in support of our chosen charity, the Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund.

The South Downs Way is a 100 mile/160 km long-distance off road National Trail which runs the entire length of the South Downs National Park, climbing a total of 12,600ft/ 3,800 metres.

Founded in 1803, Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund partners with military charities who are best placed to meet the mental health and employment needs of the military community. In addition, Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund has an annual grant giving programme to award small grants to support charities that enable veterans and their families to build successful civilian lives and careers.

We would be enormously grateful if you would support this worthwhile charity by making a contribution.
