Story
Miles2Mic: 140 Miles. 10 Gigs. One Cause.
In 2015, I lost my best friend David to cancer. He was just 18 years old.
This year, from the 6th of August I'm taking on 'Miles2Mic' in his memory and to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Over 10 days I'll be travelling from Liverpool to Hull. Running between each stop and preforming a live gig every night along the way. That's 140 miles. 10 gigs. One cause.
Teenage Cancer Trust supports young people facing cancer during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. They provides specialist care, support, and hope for teenagers and young adults when they need it most.
Music has always brought people together. It is a passion myself and David shared. Be it jamming in back rooms or writing songs for our short-lived indie/surf band 'The Hi Tides'. The running will test me physically and mentally. By combining both, I'm hoping to create something meaningful that honours David's memory while raising vital funds for an incredible cause.
Every mile I run and every song I play, is dedicated to him and every young person currently in their own fight against cancer.
If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, you will be helping Teenage Cancer Trust continue supporting young people and families affected by cancer. If you can't donate, sharing this page and spreading the word about Miles2Mic would mean the world.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
For David. Always.
