We want to end pulmonary vascular disease to help people live better and save lives.

Story

From 28th April 2024 - 4th May 2024 I will be running the Namib Ultramarathon in aid of the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute (PVRI).

I will be supporting the PVRI in memory of Rupert Swift, who suffered from Pulmonary Hypertension and very sadly passed away on 1st October 2018 at the age of 32.

The PRVI facilitates the global research and development of medicines for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension and other Pulmonary Vascular Disease symptoms.

The PVRI, in conjunction with Rupert's family, have produced a video (link below), which gives an account of Rupert's condition and his inspirational attitude in facing it.

The Namib Ultramarathon is a self-supported 250km / 155 mile, seven-day, six-stage ultramarathon and is part of the 4 Deserts Ultramarathon Series, named by TIME magazine as one of the Top 10 Endurance Competitions in the world.

The race takes place against the amazing backdrop of the Namib Desert in the Erongo region and within the Namib-Naukluft National Park and finishes on the shoreline close to Swakopmund.

Any contribution you can give towards my fundraising target of £20000 would be hugely appreciated.

All donations will go directly to the charity and will not be used to cover any of my costs.
