Hi everyone!

First of all, thank you so much for visiting my page and donating. It means so much to not only me but also my family.

As many of you are aware, I'm taking part in the 2024 Manchester marathon. This decision was sprung after getting into running around September last year and admittedly becoming a little bit addicted to it. the race is on the 14th of April 2024 as me and my good friend Will Frankish will attempt the 26.2-mile challenge.

I've decided due to me attempting my first marathon, I would raise money for the christie charity. For those who aren’t aware of the amazing work the Christie does, it is one of the leading centres for cancer treatment, research and education. Treating over 60,000 patients from all corners of the UK. This is particularly close to mine and my family's heart. My brother, Thomas, received his proton beam therapy treatment after being diagnosed with medulloblastoma a form of brain cancer, which affects around 52 children a year, in the middle of lockdown 2020.

Thankfully, Thomas since his diagnosis has made a full recovery, much of this is attributed to the work of the Christie, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and many other organisations which played a valuable role in helping both Thomas and my family through the challenge of recovery from cancer.

To help to continue and fund the work the christie does every year, I'm looking to raise £400 for their charity. this will go towards helping the fight for the treatment of cancer, similar to what my brother received at The Proton Beam Centre.
