Story
My goal is to help fund research in an area I am passionate about. I would like to see development of new treatments psychological, psychiatric and otherwise to better provide for what is a huge mental health crisis in the UK currently.
MHRUK provide academic studentships (PhDs etc) in this field as well as other research. My feeling is that SMEs in this area are vital to understanding the medicine of mental health. I also strongly support the personal development of a PhD.
I have been doing a spin class for a number of months and thought I could put my efforts into use fundraising. I am going to start with 250 miles of spin. I will post some of my progress/stats so you can see how I'm doing :)
