As some of you may know, my wife Tracey has set up this charity to help people get the treatment they require to improve their quality of life.

We all know the NHS is great at saving lives after accidents, childbirth etc, but regularly the scars that are left afterwards can leave both physical and mental traumas.

The Scar Project has been created to assist people from all backgrounds to get access via NHS referral to this therapy for the next stage in their recovery, no matter how long after the traumatic event.

They work on the fibres in the skin to allow them to reset and bond in the correct fashion. The knock on effect reduces its visibility, provides relief from scar related pains and discomforts, overall helping to regain increased movement of the area and often alleviating other symptoms of discomfort. They help people to come to terms with, learn to live with, own and sometimes even love their scars.

In taking part in this virtual London marathon, in which my run is recorded and verified by the official London marathon organisers, I'd like to raise some funds to assist this great cause.
