We're Taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks for Angels United
On August 23rd, 2025, a group of eight dads (Adam, Andy, Dec, John, Josh, Jay B, Leo, Matt) from all walks of life and with a mix of abilities—are taking on one of the most gruelling challenges in the north of England: the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
We’ll be hiking 25 miles over the stunning yet punishing peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, aiming to complete the route in under 12 hours. It's no small task—this is a serious endurance challenge with steep climbs, rough terrain, and aching legs guaranteed. But every step we take is for a cause that means the world to us: Angels United and Point
Why We're Doing This
Angels United was founded on October 13th, 2020, by 13 dads brought together by an unimaginable shared pain: the loss of a baby or child, at any stage or age.
Out of that grief came a spark—a community built not just to honour their children but to support others going through the same heartbreak. What started as a football team has grown into a powerful support network.
Using the unifying power of football, Angels United helps to #BreakTheSilence around child and baby loss, creating a safe, understanding space for dads and family members to talk, grieve, and begin to heal.
This isn’t just about football. It’s about connection, community, and compassion. It’s about knowing someone is there to talk to—any time of day.

(Parents of Oldham in Touch) is a charity that supports children and young people with additional needs and disabilities—and their families—in the Oldham area.
Here’s how they make a difference:
✅ Support for Families They guide parents and carers through complex systems like EHCPs, benefits, and local services, ensuring they get the support their children need.
✅ SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) POINT runs Oldham’s SENDIASS, offering confidential, independent advice to families navigating Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
✅ Workshops & Events They host regular workshops, information sessions, and training to empower parents and build a stronger SEND community.
✅ Influencing Local Services POINT works directly with schools, councils, and health professionals to improve how services are delivered, making sure families’ voices are heard and acted upon.
✅ Emotional & Peer Support Parenting a child with additional needs can feel lonely. POINT brings families together, providing a vital space for understanding and support.
How You Can Help
We’re putting our feet (and knees!) to the test in honour of Angels United—and we’re asking for your support.
Every penny raised will go directly towards helping the team continue their vital work:
* Providing mental health support
* Organising community events
* Giving dads and families a safe space to open up and feel less alone
*
Whether you can give £5 or £50, your donation makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting us and helping us keep the memory of our children alive, while walking side by side for all those still grieving.
Let’s climb for the ones we’ll never forget.
