🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️ IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton – Sunday 8th June
On Sunday 8th June, I’ll be competing in Ironman 70.3 Bolton. As I take on this personal challenge, I’m dedicating the race to the Neonatal Unit at Warrington and Halton Hospital, in honour of our close friends, a young family who recently went through something no one should ever have to face.
Lewis and Holly were expecting their daughter when Holly suddenly developed sepsis. The infection passed to their baby before birth, and both their lives were in serious danger. Thanks to the fast, expert care from the incredible neonatal team at Warrington, emergency surgery was carried out. The compassion, skill, and round-the-clock commitment of the team were nothing short of life-saving and against all odds, both Holly and baby Sunny (named for bringing sunshine ☀️) survived.
Their story, and the emotion we’ve felt witnessing their journey, has left a lasting mark on my wife and I. So, with just days to go until race day, I’m hoping to kickstart a fundraising effort to support this extraordinary unit.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help them continue delivering the highest level of neonatal care.
👉 If you’re able to give, please include #WilliamsNEO in your donation message so every penny goes directly to the neonatal ward.
Thank you so much for your support 🩷
