Like so many others, I have had my own struggles with Mental Health and Addiction but also my close friends and family have been affected by similar issues in one way or another. Because of this, it is something that is very close to my heart and I feel very passionate about. This is why I would like to do what I can to support, spread awareness and fundraise for others who are suffering with similar problems.

To coincide with me being a year sober on the 1st May, I will be undertaking the 135 mile hike around the entire coastal path of Anglesey alongside my Dad and Brother. We will hopefully complete this journey in two stages of 4/5 days each time. The first stage will begin the week commencing the 28th of April 2025.

The charity I have chosen to fundraise for is Adferiad, which supports individuals and families who are suffering with the similar issues that myself, friends and family have or still are, being affected by.

Adferiad is a member-led Welsh charity that provides help, support, and care for people with mental health, addiction, and other complex challenges to maximise their personal potential and achieve a better quality of life.

Adferiad support includes a range of local and national services for individuals, their carers and families. Some of Adferiad's services include:

- Employment Support

- Carers Support

- Counselling

- Housing Support

- Dedicated Young People's Programmes

- Treatment for Drugs and Alcohol
