David passed away from a brain tumour on 7th December 2024. In his memory, the Wilson family are raising funds for Sistema Scotland and their 'Big Noise' programme.

Sistema Scotland’s mission is to improve lives and strengthen communities using music and nurturing relationships. The Big Noise orchestra programmes support children to develop invaluable life skills including confidence, resilience, pride and aspiration, helping them reach their potential and lead successful and fulfilled lives.

Cara is a volunteer worker with the Big Noise in Raploch, Stirling, where she works weekly with the staff and children.

David and Cara have been able to see first-hand how this music project has - and continues to - change lives for the better. Contributing to sustaining and supporting the programme is close to the heart of the Wilson family.

There are established Big Noise programmes supporting children and young people across six communities: Raploch and Fallin in Stirling, Govanhill in Glasgow, Torry in Aberdeen, Douglas in Dundee and Wester Hailes in Edinburgh.
